How Long Has It Been Again?

Sorry for the lack of updates, I was busy. The answer is TARGETING. On my second day, We went to a water park. It was raining hard, and I was wearing crocs. This meant my feet got wet-lucky I didn’t wear socks. When we got in, we went straight to a polar aquarium. We saw otters, penguins, reef sharks, nurse sharks, seals, walruses, round batfish, giant Japanese spider crabs, dragonfish, leafy sea-dragons, comb and moon jellies, and even a gargantuan oarfish! I wish we had saw a Pacific sleeper shark, but they have parasitic worms stuck to their eyes, so the aquariumists (is that even a word?)didn’t bring one in. There were two really fun things. Firstly, there was a show. At first there were beluga whales, swimming at top speed! I got bored after a while, then my favorite animals in the world came on. Dolphins! Didn’t I already tell you I’m an underwater animal maniac, but my favorites are cetaceans-mammals that live underwater? Anyway, the dolphins first balanced balls on their noses, then jumped ten feet into the air, and pulled a small purple boat carrying a little child all around the arena. But, my favorite part was when the dolphins did math. The trainer showed 10+5=? and the dolphin honked a horn 15 times. Then he did 10-6=? and the dolphin honked it once. I believe it was looking upside-down, but it seems that dolphins are prone to mistkes such as these. So, after the show was over, we went upstairs. We went on a moving walkway going upward. The walkway went through a glass tunnel that showed fish and 6 squid. When we got up, I saw a tunnel that was bordered by ice. I went in. Right turn, and I came to an enormous room that was carved from ice. I saw a set of fake footprints that led to a secret burrow. I went in. Anna and Mickey came looking for me. I grabbed some powder snow and threw through a hole in the ice. I ducked immediately. I was wearing a T-shirt but didn’t mind the cold. Eventually, they found me . I was laughing madly. Anna had white hair in some places. We went out and I ate a sausage. Then we went out of the aquarium. It had stopped raining. We were walking to see the parrot show, but on the way, I spotted a place to play bumper boats. Mickey and I teamed up against Anna and her mother. After 21 minutes of fun, water, driving, and postponing the end, we finished. Then we completed the long walk to Birds’ Song Woods. The parrot show was spectacular. First, a blue one hung a banner on the wall. Then, two yellow ones played soccer. The ball dropped off the table twice, but that was good-at least on their standards. Finally, the birds flew around, trying to get Yuan, China’s currency, from people who were raising it in the air. I waved a 20. A green parrot touched it, and flew off. Aunt Sherry was luckiest. She was the first to be stolen from, and the darn bird just didn’t let go! Finally, I yelled for someone to take out a hundred. It was a joke, but the guy in front of me took it seriously. What a laugh! I snatched it from him and put it back on his lap without anyone noticing.  After that, we went to Peacock Crossing, and an albino peacock raced by! I rubbed my eyes. It was still there. I took no more notice and we left. Goodbye, end of story, the end. See ya around. Ciao!

Next…Fun in the sun-A TRIP TO THE BEACH!!!!!The word is SPARAGUAS Clue:Artichoke me!

I’m BAAAAACK!

I’m finally back from Dalian. The answers to the word game are : CIGARETTE, PORTABLES, and ARBITRARY. 10 points if you got them all. Each day of the trip takes one day to write since they get better all the time. The first day … darn red underline… spellchecking nonsense …anyway, I had to wake up at 5:00 AM in order to get to the plane on time. I ate one bite of a dumpling, a Choconilla(chocolate and vanilla mixed) bread and some porridge. The hunger ghost possessed me on the taxi. The second taxi. The first one broke down. If you’ve travelled, you know the process. I won’t repeat it. Actually the others rode on the taxi-everyone went of course, grandparents, aunt, cousin and a guy named Qiao Ping- Anna and I rode with Aunt Zheng and Jason. They came too.I got some gum and ate it. When we arrived at the airport, we went straight to get our luggages checked and dumped on the plane. Then we got dumped on the plane ourselves. The 1-hour ride actually wasn’t that bad. I played my DS, Jason let me play his PSP, I ate 1 & 1/2 of a hotdog…Oog. When we left the DaLian airport, we took an airport bus to the hotel. I had a short glimpse and a jump of the bed when we left for lunch. I ate egg fried rice, my favorite. We took a bus to the shuttle bus station and we took the shuttle bus to some oceanic area of DaLian and we took a taxi to a hiking place. We walked for half an hour. Uphill, rest stop, bird farm, rest stop, bridge, rest stop, down some stairs, rest stop, down another flight of stairs, saw the ocean saw 2 jellyfish, saw a fisherman, back uphill, rest stop, got thirsty, bridge, rest stop, bird farm, rest stop, downhill, ice cream parlor, and back to the hotel in the taxi we used to get there.  Then I saw a globe. Did I tell you my favorite subject is geography? I studied the Chinese names of countries of the globe. I was fascinated. Armenia-Yamainiya. Libya-Libiya. Madagascar-Madajiasijia. Then we went to bed. And that’s what happened on my first day in DaLian. Go figure. See ya!

Next time…The second day-rainy day, aquarium stay, dolphins play, birds rickershay, and the scrambled word is GRATINGET. Remember, no using the computer to cheat.

Two Posts-Am I Clever Or A Fool?

This is my second post today if you noticed, in the last 15 minutes, somewhat of a commotion happened. I’m not going to tell you what it is, because you wouldn’t believe it if I did. I am doing this because I’m going to DaLian, a city in China, and I can’t bring the laptop. So am I doing the right thing? Should I or shouldn’t I? Am I clever or a fool? You decide. It’s up to you. When I wrote 205, I meant the countries in the opening ceremony for the Beijing 2008 Olympics. I watched it 12 hours earlier than you as long as you’re not in China. There were even countries live St Kitts and Nevis, Antigua and Barbuda, Grenada , and Trinidad and Tobago, all of which reside in the Carribean Sea. Oh Yeah, last night, I was trying to concentrate on blog writing, but I got distracted and did a Scottish dance. I got distracted because I saw some haggis in the television. Haggis being a kind of Scottish food. My aunt recognized it and said Scottish people wear dresses while they dance. I knew that, of course, but me in a dress? Outrageous! Preposterous! Impossible! Ah, but not impossible. I was convinced. Hoodwinked.Tired of the synonyms.I wore the skirt Anna had given me and tripped on purpose. I also crashed into the cabinet, pinched myself, and tripped two more times. They were on purpose as well. I gave back a battered dress and smiled.  I liked it. Nothing exciting happened within 5 hours, except hardly being able to open a door when promising to be very prompt at it. Now for the new feature. Every time starting from now, at the end of each post, there will be a scrambled word at nine letters at the end. In the comments section, answer the word and the answer will be shown on the next post. Today there will be two words because the trip to DaLian takes three days…..Nah, three.

Next time…..A long summary of the trip to DaLian.

The words are: TARGETICE, SPORTBALE, and ARTYBRIAR. Answers will be shown at end of next post.

Beijing’s Museum of… Natural History?! Or, A Defeated David in Mickey’s Mansion

Hello again, and I have many things to share tell you. Firstly, this is the first time I have used two irregular ways of printing in the same sentence. Secondly, this post makes me a nono-poster (nono-  meaning nine or ninth). Third, can you say pneumoniaultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis? Bet you can’t on your first try! … Sorry. You know that Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium I was tellin’ you about last time? You should watch it. It’s a story about believing in yourself, like me, trying to believe I can finish this before bedtime, or you, believing in whatever you’re believing in. But that doesn’t make sense. It shouldn’t. Now to get on with real business. Like….. DEAD FISH! Yeah, whatever. Dead fish. Whenever dead fish appear on the computer, or you want to post a picture of them,… or want to wear them on your head, Never, and I mean NEVER, capitalize them. They will make you look stupid, the fish look stupid, and you look stupid x 2. That’s a note everybody, write it down. Did I tell the story of a thousand rainy… no, that’s Sting… Oh yes,  did I tell about the time I was riding on my cousin’s bicycle, (black with pink letters, but I don’t mind-now I know where my parents got such bad taste), and I swerved to get rid of a car passing, but the bike’s handling sucks like heck and I smashed into a bicycle stopper- black metal semicircles sticking out of the ground- and nearly fell off! Hey, I think that’s my longest sentence yet! Anyway, what surprises me is that the kickstand fell down and balanced the bike. Unbelievable! I survived! So what? Who cares?.. Drat. I make everything sound unimpressive. Many things happened in this time, too.I lost my tooth, for one thing, but since there’s no Tooth Faerie in China, it’s no use. The best thing that happened was today. It all started when Aunt Zheng came to pick me and Anna, the English name of my cousin. I woke up late because I spent half the night listening to my Ipod. Okay, I’m just exaggerating. You get the idea. I was in charge of keeping the food and giving it to everyone. A good job, in my opinion. 🙂 Only Jason, AKA “Mickey”, ate basically anything. I did and Anna did, too. Another boy, (“kid” or “child” didn’t suit him at all, as he was so bigtall) David, didn’t eat anything. Guess where our trip started. It was…….   The Beijing Museum of Natural History! Big surprise, I’ll bet.We first went to… Geez, I can’t recall, I wasn’t paying attention. But if you pay to attention, shouldn’t you at least get your money back? I really don’t get these things. I think it was the Dinosaur House. That’s just silly. How can you put a house in a museum? Well, if you’re featuring dust bunnies… Anyway, I touched what it said was a real dinosaur bone collection but I really think the DO NOT TOUCH signs are there because they don’t want you to know they’re fakes. Felt like plaster. We went next to the Mammals Sector. Sector?? Isn’t “section” enough? I saw the skeletons of elephants, pigs, and what looked like a chicken mixed with a capybara. A capybara is this monster rodent that’s almost as big as I am! Usually I hate anything to do with history, but this is ridiculous, repeat, ridiculous! Next was the Water World. I don’t even have to say it. House, sector, and now WORLD! Now hear me, this is dumb.We saw diatoms, and all those underwater bacteria. Wait, aren’t there supposed to be  two C’s  one C I mean these words are more confusing than the different buildings. I got bored, so we went upstairs. First thing I saw was a small cafe.  Then we went to some plant and pollution part of the place and pondered our bodies on a mirror maze and I found some movies. Now I’m tired of alliterating so leave me alone. We went to some other places including some room that looks like a rainforest. My favorite part, as usual, was at the end. It’s always at the end. Get the hint? Unusually, it was a 3-D movie that had, as always, physical affects as well. I got soaked, and I was also the victim of my own chair, which was practicing for it’s chiropractic degree. It didn’t go perfectly, but at least I had the 3-D glasses off for half the time. It sounded good, but what it was is totally different. I ate some vanilla ice cream (I didn’t notice the chocolate flavor) and had an overall hejfhdsffgher hsdijhsuth567-ish time. Pretty good, even by my standards. Usually, it’s 58 letters and 6 numbers. Anyway, after that we went to Jason’s and Aunt Zheng’s house. They have a dog, 2 cats, and 3 kittens. They also have, luckily, a PSP and a PS2. David and I played some sort of Chinese Naruto game on the PS2 and I turned out pretty good. After one round when David beat me, I managed to get my revenge by beating him 12 times consecutively. He didn’t want to play after that. It was hard to beat Jason, though. In fact, I didn’t. I almost did, but he pulled off a really slick sort of Rasengan -a strong move- and won by 5 HP. I’m pretty sure grown-ups don’t understand this sort of mumbo jumbo, so I think I should report in “secret code” from now on. We went to Origus that night. I’m not sure if it’s in the US, but it’s a pizza buffet. There’s honeydew, cantoloupe and ceasar salad, too, Mom! … Sorry. Well, that’s the end of post.

Next time…… About 205-can you guess what?….. New features to the blog! …… And how I figured out I look bad in a skirt. See ya!

Just …… stuff

I haven’t updated in quite a while, so you should expect an outpour of data. I learned how to ice skate. It’s actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it.I also learned ping-pong, went to a concert, beat my record of fastest drinking water from a full bottle, and caught Giratina, a legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Pearl. If you don’t know what Pokemon is, I suggest going to www.serebii.net. Ping-pong and paddles and getting the ball over the net and all the rules and getting the ball out of the bushes… Whew! Anyway, the concert, the concert. I fell asleep about one-third of the way and evidently heard little of the rest. What woke me up was some woman screaming at the top of her lungs. My record for drinking a bottle of water was 1:03. A minute and three seconds, not an hour. My record now is 0:54. 54 seconds, not 54 minutes and definitely not 54 hours. By the way, the concert was Chinese, so what I did hear, I could hardly understand because (1. It was ten o’clock and a was sleepy, and(2. the about 50 people singing cancelled each other out, and finally, (3. I was sitting right above the drum set and percussion instruments, including: a piano, 4 gigantic bongo drums, ( that drove me bongos) 2 alto xylophones, and even a metalliphone and glocknspeil! I even saw what might be a euphonium! Oh, um a euphonium is a brass instrument that makes a “Brrnk”-ish sound. Google “euphonium” if you’re not convinced, and go to the Wikipedia site. ;P  So, every morning I ride my bike with one or both grandparents. This morning– to the …hospital?? Yes, you aren’t blind. Hospital. I have eight different mosquito bites on both my legs( 4 on each) and I scratched two so much that they broke open! Now I have matching patches on both my ankles. To make it worse, though it has absolutely nothing to do with it, I have a tooth so loose that I can turn it at a 180 degree and so stubborn that I can’t tug it out. I don’t want to force it out- that seriously hurts- but then what? Good thing is that I don’t have to take a bath.=)  At the house, there’s a movie called  Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium. I’ve also collected a dead fish! And I even tripped on an obvious metal semicircle in the parking lot(well, I was biking and couldn’t control it)! All that and more on my next update!! See ya!
